Originally designed to rout difficult to cut material when horsepower or spindle speed may be a problem this tool has found new life with composites. The many smaller flutes are able to take smaller less aggressive "bites" in the material. This leads to longer life with more abrasive materials as the heat is also distributed over more cutting edges.
